This toy castle has lots of shapes and places to put them ... like this little plastic “king.”
Whenever possible, Drew has one ball in each hand.
Drew shows his new tower for dropping in balls to his cousins, Sarah and Lily.
Drew enjoys dining at home on his high chair tray.
After lunch we go for a walk on Alpharetta's Greenway.
Drew heads toward Family Room where party will be, on Saturday morning.

Drew's First Birthday (Party 8-27-2005)
Of course, Drew's birthday was the Wednesday before, on August 24. But I didn't arrive till Friday night, 2 days later, after Drew was fast asleep in bed.
When Drew woke up and had breakfast, we played for awhile. During his nap Mommy and Grandma picked up the cake and sandwiches, and BALLOONS ... for the party at 11:00. Here are Mommy and Drew the morning before his party.
First to arrive were Mimi and Papa.
Here are cousins Lily and Sarah.
And now the cake! What is that stuff?
It's great to be one year old!

Actually, Drew is looking less like an infant and more like a small child every day! He has the most engaging smile and looks Grandma straight in the eye. Then he smiles, or laughs!

April 30 - May 1, 2005 mini-vacation trip to Georgia
This was a great trip with gorgeous spring weather, and Drew was just about to turn the table loose and stand by himself. I can also say with Grandma's certainty that he waved at me and others and said "Hi!" It certainly sounded like "Hi."
As quick as Grandma can, I will bring photos of charming little Drew playing, eating his baby food, crawling and standing up with his Mommy and Daddy. Thank goodness for air travel, so Grandma can keep the album current !!
